I’m a communications professional working at the intersection of energy and media. Since 2021 I’ve served as Communications Director at the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the leading global trade association for the wind industry, where I work to shape the narrative around the energy transition on a global stage.
Before moving into the energy sector, I spent nearly a decade in broadcast and digital journalism. At the BBC, I was a senior journalist leading the digital transition for youth audiences, helping programs transition from legacy television outlets to a digitally-focused operations. Prior to that I was a Deputy Editor at Sky News, where I led the execution of a digital strategy that placed Sky News at the forefront of the changing news industry, pioneering new approaches and collaborating with platforms such as Facebook, Twitter to launch world-first projects. I also led the first digital deployment to cover a US election, operating a pop-up team working on-the-ground in the United States ahead of the 2016 Presidential election.
Earlier in my career I worked across a range of outlets including CNN, The Times, The Guardian, and the Premier League, developing a grounding in fast-paced digital storytelling, live coverage, and audience engagement.
I have been nominated for two Bafta awards.
I hold an MA in Journalism from the University of Westminster, and a degree in politics from Leeds University.
I am now based in Lisbon.
